Together, we are developing solutions to ensure a healthier and a more sustainable future for all.

The College of Life and Environmental Sciences is made up of four schools; Biosciences, Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, and Psychology. Together, we are leading vital research to help tackle global challenges relating to sustainability and wellbeing. From microbiology and infection to healthy ageing, neuroscience to climate change, our world-leading research is helping to enhance human and environmental health and prosperity.

We are working with industry, academic partners, governments, NGOs and policy makers to transform health, environment and society – sustainably supporting people and planet. The University of Birmingham is using research expertise, global partnerships and, with staff and students, working together to bring about positive change.
