Biography

Dr Kathrin Hamenstädt joined Birmingham Law School as a DAAD-Lecturer in September 2023. Prior to joining Birmingham, Kathrin held positions as Assistant Professor (Leiden University, NL), Lecturer in Law (Brunel University, UK), DAAD-Lecturer (King's College London, UK) and tutor in law (Maastricht University, NL).

Research interests

My research focuses broadly on European Union law, constitutional law, fundamental rights law, and migration law.
