Abstract
This keynote lecture highlights recent advancements in railway research and innovation aimed at tackling global challenges. The global challenges with major concerns include the climate resilience and sustainability. This lecture will demonstrate key research and innovation outputs that will make the world a better place. In addition, the next generation framework for operational benchmarking will be discussed in order to help railway sector continuously improve its products and services.
