Keynote lecture on building railway research capabilities, network, and collaboration for industrial, scientific, and societal impacts

This keynote lecture will focus on how to build and improve railway research capabilities, network and collaboration in order to maximise industrial, scientific and societal impacts. The keynote lecture will discuss the technology readiness levels and how to align railway research in each level for scalability in terms of global impacts. The system of systems concept for railway research will be highlighted to strategically aid researchers, engineers and scientists to map the railway technologies for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary synergies. Lessons learnt from various railway research entities will also be discussed to help improve the research collaboration towards resilience, circular economy and net zero targets. The insights will help to embark on new innovation development that creates win-win partnerships with all stakeholders.
