Abstract

Air-spaced patch antennas and transmission lines for use in beamforming networks and quadrature couplers are presented. These structures are low loss and compatible with simple micromachining techniques. The performance of some simple networks has been simulated and practical individual components have been fabricated and tested. The measured data is reported.
