Abstract
This article explores the multiple interactions between Classical Hollywood cinema and Andy Warhol's pictorial production. Many famous Hollywood stars appear in Warhol's paintings, including Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, and Elizabeth Taylor. This survey seeks to demonstrate how Gene Korman's advertising shot for Niagara and film frames taken from Cleopatra and Flaming Star all function as ready-fund images re-used in The Marilyn Diptych, Blue Liz as Cleopatra, and Triple Elvis, respectively. The criticism surfacing in Warhol's painting and referencing of the Hollywood stars system is also investigated.
