PhD projects

My main interests focus on climate change in Asia, environmental politics, and civil society in Asia. Previously I have published work on East Asian regionalism, Asia-Europe inter-regional relations and Japanese foreign policy, and is happy to accept proposals related to these themes.

My current and recent projects include work on:
Environmental politics and waste in Southeast Asia
The role of sustainability chapters in free trade agreements
EU-Japan relations
Japanese foreign policy
Transnational governance and civil society in Asia
Climate change and environmentalism in Asia
