Biography

I completed my BSc Pharmacology at the University of Leeds, including a 12-month industrial placement within the BioPharm Research group at GlaxoSmithKline, Stevenage. Following this, I undertook an MRes in Cellular and Molecular Physiology at the University of Liverpool. My Wellcome Trust funded PhD was also undertaken at the University of Liverpool under the supervision of Dr Parveen Sharma, Prof Chris Sanderson and Prof Sonia Rocha exploring how targetting the NRF2 pathway could mitigate doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity.

My current post-doctoral research position working with Dr Lisa Hill and Dr Hannah Botfield involves exploring novel treatments and drug delivery methodologies for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration.
