Biography
Dr Adam Michael Packer is a Research Fellow in Future Flight Governance in the Institute for STEMM in Culture and Society (ISTEMMiCs). He currently works with a multi- and transdisciplinary team on the UKRI Future Flight Challenge Social Science programme to develop cross-cutting social research into processes of testing and developing future flight technologies.
Adam completed his doctoral research at Oxford University in the School of Geography and the Environment, completed in 2023. He was also an undergraduate tutor and lecturer at Brasenose College, Oxford (2022-23) during this time. He held several teaching and demonstrating positions in the School of Geography and the Environment (2017-23).
Adam is an Associate Member of the Higher Education Academy as well as the Events Coordinator for the Digital Geography Research Group at the Royal Geographical Society (RGS). He actively integrates a deeply reflexive approach and engagement with teaching pedagogies towards his aim of facilitating inclusive learning experiences with students.
