Organisation profile

The Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRiS) challenges established views and policy responses to migration and its impact on societies in a rapidly changing world.  We are also the first institute in the UK and one of the first globally, to focus on superdiversity.  IRiS Academics are researching and developing a knowledge base of the changes, challenges and opportunities that result from migration and superdiversity. We aim to help governments and societies across the world to prepare for and adapt to those changes to create a more inclusive and equal world.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
