Abstract

Wideband antennas with band-notched behaviour have recently attracted increasing interest. Presented is a conical monopole antenna with two C-shaped slots. Compared to previous work reported in the literature, the antenna provides a notch band with increased gain suppression within the notch band, combined with omnidirectional pattern at frequencies throughout the operating band.
