Abstract

The design and analysis of a negative group delay network as an antenna impedance matching circuit using band-stop filter design theory is proposed in this article. The design of negative group delay network using Bessel, Butterworth, Chebyshev, and Elliptic filter types is presented. The negative group delay network is used as the matching circuit in the design of an electrically small antennas. A printed monopole, patch, and dipole are used in the study to validate the scope of negative group delay network as matching circuit.
