Abstract
Pesquisas sobre o nexo água-energia-alimento costumam focar apenas no gerenciamento desses recursos, negligenciando as formas pelas quais diversos grupos sociais, especialmente os jovens, compreendem e se envolvem com o nexo em seu cotidiano. Para conhecer os saberes, as percepções e as experiências dos jovens sobre água, energia e alimentos, assim como as conexões entre tais recursos, uma pesquisa de abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa foi realizada com jovens e profissionais de áreas relativas ao tema. Com base na análise dos resultados, será possível estruturar estratégias para proteger os recursos naturais e propor melhorias na Educação Básica, bem como políticas públicas.
Food-energ y-water nexus research usually focus only in governance, neglecting the ways in which diverse social groups, especially young people, understand, and engage with the nexus in their everyday lives. To know the young people’s knowledge, perceptions and experiences related to water, energ y and food and the connections between these resources, a quantitative and qualitative approach was applied to young people and professionals who works in areas related to the subject. Based on the analysis of the results, it will be possible to structure strategies to protect natural resources and propose improvements in basic education as well as public policies.
