Abstract

The recent discovery of radical formation within frustrated Lewis pair (FLP) systems indicates that single-electron transfer (SET) may play an important role in their chemistry. This has sparked interest in the generation, analysis and utilization of radical species within FLP-type systems. This chapter explores such radical formation and provides in-depth insight into the SET events involved.
