Abstract

The article examines Derrida's transformation of Kant's idea of cosmopolitan democracy. It focuses primarily on the economic and technological transformations of global space that have occurred since Kant wrote his political essays, and how Derrida has interprested his concepts of progress, freedom, Enlightenment, and recognition.
