Abstract

This paper presents the design of two filters at a center frequency of 1 GHz using a novel type of ring resonator. Their advantage over conventional microstrip ring resonators lies on their lower-frequency sensitivity to substrate thickness due to the addition of interdigital capacitors that concentrate the electric field near-the surface.
