Abstract
The aim of the present work is to analyze the relationship between Goal Orientation and two dimensions of Health Behaviour and to determine if there are sex differences in these associations.
The questionnaires administered were the TEOSQ (Duda, 1989) and the Health Behaviour Schoolchildren (Wold, 1989).
The sample was composed of 283 students from EGB and BUP grade levels (146 boys and 137 girls), whose ages ranged from 11 to 17.
The results show that Task Orientation is a positive predictor for the practice of sport activities and a negative predictor of the consumption of health comprising substances. Ego Orientation was not significantly to reported health behaviour.
