Abstract

This paper outlines four related developments in frequency reconfigurable antennas: using negative impedance converters to enhance the tuning range of tunable antennas; tuning the isolation between closely spaced antennas; reducing the size of a filter/antenna module by direct impedance matching; and using ferroelectric varactors tuning elements.
