N2 - In this work, two different antenna prototypes working at THz frequencies and consisting of a central slot surrounded by corrugations are analyzed. In the first case, the corrugations are annular, leading to a moderately high gain. Its radiation and temporal properties are analyzed both numerically and experimentally. The other antenna has straight corrugations with triangular profile. Its radiation characteristics are numerically compared with the typical square corrugations profile, with no significant differences between them. Experimental results at 0.5THz show good performance of the design. These results could be of interest for the development of new THz sources and detectors.
