Abstract

We present the case of a 38-year-old man who developed constrictive pericarditis 16 months following Streptococcus pneumoniae pneumonia. We discuss the presenting features and the role of cardiovascular magnetic resonance in imaging bacterial myocarditis and chronic pericarditis.
