Abstract

In this paper we describe the use of a social network application (Facebook) with individual open learner models at university level, to support collaborative learning. Results suggest that Facebook and open learner models can be used together to support collaborative learning. It also suggests that Facebook and open learner models can support sociability in collaborative learning: both were found to be useful.
