Abstract

Bis-cyclometalated cationic Ir(III) diimine complexes [Ir(C^N) 2(N^N)](PF 6) with 1-phenylpyrazoles (C^N) and 1-(4′-tert-butyl-2′-pyridyl)pyrazole (N^N) are white solids that have absorption onset below 425 nm and electrochemical gap of up to 3.5 V.
