Abstract

It has been almost 25 years since boron was introduced into TiAl alloys and marked impacts has brought into many aspects of TiAl alloy development. This paper is to review the changes in TiAl physical metallurgy, alloy design, processing, and microstructure-property relationship arising from boron addition along its a quarter century journey.
