Description

Professor David Chapman who leads the project at Birmingham together with Dr Nicole Metje and postdoctoral researcher Simina Rebegea, were shortlisted together with their industry collaborators and invited to attend the awards ceremony which took place on the 15th November 2017 at the House of Commons in London.

The project, which is a collaboration by RSK, BT, the University of Birmingham and Geomatrix, has combined years of collective experience and new research into a revolutionary sub-street mapping system that not only locates buried utilities more accurately, but also indicates its condition (damage and blockages) and provides engineering information about the surrounding ground.
The Street Works UK Awards is organised by The National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG Ltd.) All winning submissions to the 2017 Awards will be turned into NJUG Case Studies, published online and distributed at conferences and NJUG events.
