I am currently the Programme Manager of the AHRC-funded GRCF Network+ Disability Under Siege programme. I am also undertaking a part-time PhD, researching the impact that encounters with strangers have on disabled people's experience and identity, focussing especially on the context of accessible parking spaces.

Prior to my current role, I was a Research Fellow on Disability Under Siege, investigating the impact of COVID-19 on disabled people in Low-and Middle-Income Countries, and working with the UN Partnership for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to create an analytical framework for a disability-inclusive recovery from COVID-19.

I also spent several years working in research support roles, including research facilitation, project management, and research communications. My current role allows me to combine this expertise with my knowledge and passion for disability studies, and my  lived experience as a disabled activist and advocate.

I am particularly interested in how disabled identities are constructed, how disability is conceptualised in society, and the effects of these on the everyday lives and experiences of disabled people. I also draws on concepts from gender and queer studies, as well as media and critical discourse studies, in my analysis of the ways in which disabled people navigate an inaccessible and sometimes hostile world.
