PhD projects

Parth Narendran’s research interests include autoimmunity and type 1 diabetes. This includes exploring the phenomenon of peripheral immune tolerance to type 1 diabetes antigens. It also includes investigating how insulin resistance and autoimmunity interact in the development of type 1 diabetes, an understanding that may help delay the onset of this disease.

Dr Narendran is, or has been, involved in the supervision of both non-clinical and clinical postgraduate trainees. These include academic foundation trainees, academic clinical fellows, PhD and MD researchers and postdoctoral fellows
