Biography

I am a chemical process engineer. My particular field of expertise is with advanced thermal conversion processes (gasification, pyrolysis and combustion) for sustainable energy and biochar production. Previously, I have worked as a post-doctoral research fellow for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), USA, as well as for the European Bioenergy Research Institute, (EBRI) UK and the Fraunhofer UMSICHT Institute, Germany on sustainable energy and biomass conversion processes. I am currently employed as a senior academic in the school of chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, UK, strategic project co-ordinator at Fraunhofer UMSICHT, Germany and executive director of Susteen Technologies, UK, Ltd.
