Michael Larkin has wide-ranging research and doctoral supervision interests including: phenomenology and psychological methods; culture and wellbeing (especially in relation to psychological distress); making sense of embodied experiences (eg, emotions, empathy, pain); making sense of anomalous experiences (eg, loss of control, hallucinations); young people and families coping with distress and change; experiences of psychological interventions and services; and working with interpreters and refugees.
