My research focuses on understanding traffic-related air pollution and their impacts on atmospheric environment and public health. I’m currently on a project of ‘Shipping Emissions in the Arctic and North Atlantic atmosphere (SEANA, 2019-2023)’ funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). Traffic-related particle number concentrations, aerosol nucleation, mixing states, and volatile organic compounds are my major interests. My research involves pollutant measurements (source sampling, roadside measurements, tunnel tests, cruise and ambient measurements), laboratory analysis (offline analysis), and computer modeling. The final goal is to improve our understanding of potential health impacts of traffic-related air pollution.
