Bernardo currently acts as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at the Centre for fuel cells and hydrogen research at the University of Birmingham.

Bernardo is a Materials Engineer. He holds a PhD and MSc in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering with main expertise in fuel cells fabrication, ceramic processing, and electrochemical assessment.

Research Interests and Activities:

- Solid oxide fuel cell: hydrogen and carbon fuels such as biogas and ethanol.

- Solid oxide electrolysers: high temperature steam-, CO2- and co-electrolysis.

- Reversible solid oxide cells.

- Solid oxide cells applications in general.
