Biography

He joined for PhD (Technology) degree in Chemical Engineering, at Department of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai in August 2013 on a project entitled “Cavitation Induced Physico-chemical Transformation for Synthesizing Materials at Nano Scale” under the auspicious DST INSPIRE fellow award. During his Ph. D. program, he worked on the process modification of the existing technology using cavitation. He has used this opportunity well and made credible efforts in making time and energy efficient processes for the synthesis of hollow nanoparticles, formulation of nanoemulsions, extraction of value-added product from wastes, and development of nanocontainers, etc.  This dissertation included the few selected chapters, based on his Ph.D. work Dr. Ananda has published 12 International Papers, 1 national paper, 2 book chapters, and filed 3 Indian Patents. He has also presented his research work at various International/National Scientific Conferences. His work has been referred well by the scientific community and has resulted in more than 306 citations with h-index of 7 (as per Google Citation Index). For his Ph.D. research work, he has bagged few awards to his name (S. B. Chandalia Best Research Student Award 2010, Promising Young Chemical Engineer Award 2017, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Seal of Excellence 2016 and Finalist for 5th Industrial Green Chemistry World (IGCW) Award 2017). Dr. Ananda has joined Birmingham University, UK and continuing his research work as a research associate (Post Doc) on emerging bulk nanobubble field.
