Activity: Academic and Industrial events › Guest lecture or Invited talk
Description
The School of St Helen and St Katharine is holding an event for local students in years 10 – 13 who would like to be doctors or vets. We run this event every two years and at the last event we had over 500 visitors from 39 schools, which were mostly state schools.
On the recommendation of a former student of yours, I have been given your name as someone who would give an engaging keynote speech.
Outline of the event: for the first time, we are starting with a university fair for students to talk to specific faculties; so far we have 10 universities manning stands. This will be followed by a keynote speech lasting around 30 minutes, after which medics and vets split and have talks relevant to their interest, lasting around an hour.
