Abstract
Facebook has released details of abusive content it has removed between October 2017 and March 2018. This is a significant step forward for the company, who in the past have refused to release this information. Yet, key information is missing from these figures, such as the comments which were seen not to breach their guidelines. This article will expose some of the flaws with the figures given by Facebook. It will be put forward, with the aid of other studies, such as those undertaken by Amnesty International, that the figures are given really do not expose the true scale of online abuse.
