What barriers and facilitators do third sector organisations experience when implementing evidence-based interventions?

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The main objective of this review is to aggregate existing research investigating factors identified by practitioners that affect the implementation capacity of TSOs to deliver EBIs. To be eligible for inclusion, studies need to be primary research or systematic reviews investigating the perspectives and/or experiences of third sector practitioners with regards to the implementation/adoption of EBIs. In the context of this paper, we define “implementation” as the process of delivering an EBI. All research designs will be eligible for inclusion, but studies must include the perspectives, experiences, or attitudes of third sector practitioners implementing EBIs. In addition, to be eligible for inclusion, studies must investigate factors operating as barriers to and facilitators of the implementation of evidence-based programmes and interventions by TSOs, but this need not be the focus of the studies. Articles will be screened at the title and abstract level by ABM and BL using Rayyan.
