Abstract
As a Tribute to Dante to commemorate the sixth centenary of his death, Paget Toynbee published as a chronological list the complete corpus of English-language Dante translations from Chaucer to January 1921. Following the chronology established by Toynbee, the present contribution offers the text of all the English translations of the last two tercets of Francesca’s speech in canto V of the Inferno, from 1782 to the centenary celebrations in 1865.
