Abstract
This brief focuses on insights that the UK Government might consider in the review of sponsorship currently underway. We find that sponsorship in the UK is successful and valued. The scale and speed of H4U’s introduction offered innovations which evidenced the potential to scale sponsorship more generally. While there are areas that would benefit from strengthening, there is a strong foundation on which to build. The brief begins by offering insight into the motivations behind involvement in sponsorship, and public awareness of schemes before outlining main successes, areas for improvement and recommendations that build on this insight.
