N2 - The relationship between arousal and motor performance has been studied extensively (Landers, 1980; Martens, 1974). In general, the emphasis of much of this research has been on examining the outcome of movement performance while arousal levels were manipulation. A second line of research has focused more specifically on the processes by which arousal influences movement behaviour, and the dependent variables selected have included electromyographic (Weinberg, 1977) and kinematic parameters (Beuter & Duda, 1985).
