Abstract

This Current Issues piece is a primarily creative piece of writing that takes as its starting point the concept of broken narratives. In writing with her own disability, the author, a wheelchair user, offers a series of broken narratives through which she actively seeks to create her own narrative coherence. In so doing, she expresses some of her own thoughts and feelings about disability that she struggles to articulate verbally and directly.
