Abstract

Some of its Parts is a modular composition that can be performed solo by violin, piano and percussion, in any duo combination of these instruments, or as a full trio. In each case, the fixed sounds, in 5.1 surround, are the same. To date (January 2013), the violin version has been performed in Canterbury, Durban (South Africa) and Cardiff; a Birmingham performance is scheduled for February 2013. Shortly after that performance, the work will be recorded for CD release.
