Abstract

The JÜLICH SOFC group has assembled and tested more than 430 SOFC stacks rated between 100 W and 15 kW during the last 15 years. The main focal points of current development are the improvement of SOFC stack lifetime, increased performance, especially at relatively low temperatures (<700°C), increased robustness of stacks and an improved understanding of degradation phenomena. Recently, 30,000 hours of continuous operation were reached with a short stack test.
