Abstract
Over the last decade, structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging (sMRI) of the
brain has helped us to better understand the neurobiological underpinnings of
psychopathy. The June issue of Molecular Psychiatry featured the first sMRI
study using cortical pattern-matching to examine cortical gray matter
thickness in psychopathy. This commentary briefly discusses the
methodological strength of this study and how its findings have contributed to
the existing sMRI evidence base of psychopathy biomarkers.
