Abstract

Anisotropic resistivity of a YBa2Cu3O7−δ single crystal has been measured as a function of thermal cycling between 288 K and 1006 K in flowing oxygen and nitrogen gases. The hysteretic temperature dependent ϱc, ϱab and their ratio ϱc/ϱab provide evidence of oxygen diffusion in and out of the crystal, the tetragonal to orthorhombic structural phase transition and the paramagnetic to antiferromagnetic phase transition.
