Abstract
Microcells have potential use in providing high-capacity cellular radio systems. Theoretical models using the ray tracing method were therefore attempted to be developed for predicting radiowave propagation in microcells, in urban environments. A computer program designed to predict signal strength measurements around box-shaped buildings was verified using experiments carried out at microwave frequencies in the laboratory.
