Abstract

This chapter describes a selection of methods, tools, and services that were developed within the Production harmonizEd Reconfiguration of Flexible Robots and Machinery (PERFoRM) project (EU HORIZON 2020 FoF PERFoRM 2015-2018). These solutions range from agent-based services, over novel predictive maintenance approaches and simulation services, to visualization tools. Due to the heterogeneity of the solution, the focus in each section is different. Each section starts with a target definition, followed by the motivation, the general principle, and/or the interaction among components and systems (tools) over the middleware component specified, developed, and implemented following the architectural principles addressed in Chapters 3 and 6.
