Abstract
How you pay for your care can depend on how much money you have. We have produced this animation to help people who are paying for care themselves navigate a system which can feel complicated, and help them to plan ahead.
This animation is based on research carried out by the University of Birmingham, in partnership with the University of York and Age UK Solihull. Funding was from NIHR School for Social Care Research. We spoke to people and their families about their experience of paying for care themselves. We also spoke to care home staff, people working for councils and charities, and financial professionals.
