Abstract
This chapter develops a novel account of moral understanding. The key idea is that moral understanding is systematic moral knowledge. Kelp compares this account with the two leading views in the literature according to which moral understanding is analysed in terms only of knowledge why (Sliwa) or in terms of abilities (Hills) and shows that the systematic knowledge account is preferable to both.
