Abstract

A measurement of the cross section for the inclusive production of isolated prompt photons in proton--proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV is presented. The measurement covers the pseudo rapidity ranges $|\eta^{\gamma}|
