Abstract
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) presents the United Nations (UN) with significant global challenges. However, AI also offers new tools to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhancing efforts in areas such as poverty reduction, healthcare, climate action, and education. The UN is not merely reacting to the emergence of this transformative technology but is also demonstrating its capacity for innovation. By integrating AI into its operations and policy frameworks, the organization aims to harness its potential while addressing ethical, legal, and socio-economic concerns. This approach reflects the UN’s commitment to shaping AI governance in a way that ensures inclusivity, transparency, and global cooperation.
