    Abstract

    In the past decade, the proliferation of scholarly information in the online environment has led to a much greater level of access to published research anytime anywhere and has helped institutions to develop strong electronic collections which support today’s users. However, the availability of content on the Web also has its problems. The entire supply chain involved in delivering access to content has to meet the challenges of ensuring that this content is discoverable in an age where internet search engines dominate.
