Abstract
In 2009, I had the honour to interview Professor Seyyed HosseinNasr, who is a Professor of Islamic Studies at GeorgeWashington University, Washington, DC, as part of the‘MuslimHeritage Interview Series’. During the interview, Nasr touchedon various topics related to Islam and modernity, Sufism,spirituality, consumerism and the environment. Thirteen yearshad elapsed since that interview and, with so many changeshaving taken place across the world in this intervening period, Iwas keen to speak to him again on some of the core themes wediscussed then and to see how things have evolved in thoseareas over the years.
